Afgelopen donderdag 9 mei maakte de Blues Foundation in Memphis bekend wie de 45ste winnaars waren van de Blues Music Awards 2024. In 25 verschillende categorieën werd een award uitgereikt.
Christone “Kingfish” Ingram was met 4 blues awards de grote winnaar, waaronder die van beste gitarist en “Album van het jaar” voor “Live in London”.
Andere meervoudige prijswinnaars waren onder meer Mike Zito o.a. best blues rock album, Bobby Rush o.a. BB king entertainer of the year, Ruthie Foster o.a. Best Song en John Primer o.a best traditional blues album .
