Waterman managed Son House’s dramatic comeback tour, and also Mississippi John Hurt, Lightnin Hopkins, Arthur Crudup and others. He played a pivotal role in Bonnie Raitt’s early career. Along the way, Waterman’s keen eye for photography captured some of the most iconic photos of blues masters, including B.B. King, Son House, Howlin’ Wolf, Raitt and many others. In 2000, he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
