Enjoy the guitar heroics while you can. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks are both leaving the Allman Brothers Band at the end of the year.

The group’s two ace guitar players, who’ve helped guide the band over the past couple decades, released a joint statement announcing their departures at the end of 2014. Haynes has been with the Allmans since 1989; Trucks joined a decade later.

“We will be forever grateful for the opportunity and the experience, and for the love, enthusiasm and support of the incredible fans,” they write. “We are both preparing to dig even deeper into our various creative and musical endeavors and, as a result, 2014 will be our final year as part of the band.”
