Danielle Schnebelen recently announced on her Facebook page that after 12 years of bringing the KC blues to audiences around the world, Trampled Under Foot will no longer tour together after 2014. TUF is very proud to have had the opportunity to spend 12 amazing years touring the world and the band is forever grateful for all the friends and fans they made along the way. “To me, the end of Trampled Under Foot is something to be celebrated”, said Danielle in her announcement. “Individually and collectively we have worked very hard for a long time and we’ll continue that tradition in our own capacities.”
“We’re putting this project to bed,” explains Danielle Schnebelen, who launched Trampled Under Foot with brothers Kris and Nick in their hometown of Kansas City, Mo., 12 years ago. Kris left the band in January. “Without Kris, there’s not the same family dynamic to it. We figured we’d go out on a high note with our latest album ‘Badlands’ doing so well.” — Danielle told Providence Journal.
After 2014, Nick and Danielle will each pursue a solo career in music. Nick will tour with his own band and continue to build his one-man show as ‘Slick Nick’, showcasing his talent playing guitar, dobro and drums. Meanwhile Danielle has assembled her own band, the Danielle Nicole Band, and will record her debut album later this fall. Kris will continue pursuing his career as a drummer and playing in various bands around the country. “Words cannot describe the feeling of love and appreciation we’ve experienced over the years as being part of Trampled Under Foot”, says Danielle. “We hope our amazing fans will continue to support each of us in this new chapter of our lives.”
