Label: EarMusic/V2 Records

Simon McBride’s ‘The Fighter’ is the precious fruit of hard work, of many years of experience on the road and in the studio. The album is classic, quality rock with incredible guitar hooks and heavy, rhythmic percussions. It has strong melodic elements that stay in your head, which reflect both his early influences that inspired him to play the guitar in the first place and the musical journey that he has taken since. The songs are full of hope and positivity. Every single note on this record means something to Simon and his band. This album is the perfect opportunity for Simon to make a name for himself and shine within the rock world!

Currently Simon replaces Steve Morse in Deep Purple, who -due to a family matter- hiatus temporary. Joe Satriani who, played with the band in 1993 en 1994, said in an interview with eonmusic the following; “Simon is a great call for that, so that’s really great”, he said; “I mean, the band is close to Simon, and Simon’s a great guitarist”.

‘The Fighter’ will be released on May 27th, via earMUSIC.
