Listen to: Blues kerst single’s

 
Met de kerst dagen nog voor de boeg komen tal van bekende en onbekende bluesband en artiesten met kerst singles op de proppen.
Zo kwamen met Doc Curran and the Holy 7, Dani Wilde, Sunfire en Taj Mahal and Maria Muldaur al wat kerst plaatjes voorbij.

 
It’s a cover of You Are My Sunshine/Didn’t It Rain and it features Christopher Holland (Jools’ little brother) accompanying me on Rhythm and Blues Piano. I’m so pleased with the recording – I think it’s some of my best singing and I also play a lead guitar solo on the record as a nod to my hero Sister Rosetta Tharpe!

 
Sunfire skillfully blends multiple genres such as folk, americana, roots, rock, and bluegrass to create an original and niche sound. Once you hear and see them perform you can’t resist but to fall in love

 
The classic winter weather duet returns to its lusty roots with a new recording that has American music icons Maria Muldaur facing off against Taj Mahal in a song filled with longing, flirty dialogue and a spark of defiance. Masterfully sung by two holiday revelers who really do know better, it was produced by John Simon and is a loving throwback to the sounds of the swing jazz big band era.
