Jo Harman has been in the studio recently, just to reacquaint herself really!, but enjoyed what emerged organically with pianist Mark Edwards and producer James McMillan so much that she has decided to release it as a limited edition friends/supporters (aka fan) release as, frankly, she want to keep her powder dry for the second album. The EP, named ‘FOUND A PLACE’, is not really representative of what will be on the second record but is more an ‘stripped back’ session of heart felt songs which we felt compelled to record. They are very piano ballad driven, beautifully recorded at Quiet Money studios, and we pushed the boat out and recorded real strings on a couple of the cuts (and horns on another for that matter). There are a couple of originals and a clutch of covers which have some special meaning to Jo. They are what they are and she is very proud of the work, to be honest, even… if she says, there will be a markedly different approach in material, style and arrangements to what might appear on the second album.

The standard 5 track (plus 1 added alternate mix) studio EP of over 30 mins in duration, with full packaging, is available at £7 including p&p and can be pre-ordered direct to paypal [email protected]. or by sending a cheque made out to Jo Harman at BiGiAM Offices, 20 New Road, Shoreham, Sussex, BN43 6RA.
