Chantel McGregor keert op 23 mei 2025 terug met The Healing, een krachtig rockalbum met invloeden uit de prog-rock. Verwacht een donkerder, zwaarder geluid dan haar eerdere, meer bluesy, werk. De eerste single, Broken Heartless Liar, vertelt een verhaal van verraad en bevrijding, ondersteund door een rauwe riff en een meeslepende solo. McGregor werkte samen met haar vaste band en producers Oli Brown en Wayne Proctor, die ook bijdroegen aan het schrijfproces. The Healing verschijnt op CD, zwart vinyl en een gelimiteerde splatter-editie.

Chantel says about the track “It captures the moment you realise the person you loved never really valued you, just took what they could while giving nothing in return.

The song moves from heartbreak to clarity, shifting from the pain of betrayal to the strength of walking away. It’s about breaking free from the lies and emotional wreckage and choosing empowerment over staying trapped in something toxic”

With a driving riff, a blistering guitar solo, and a chorus that sticks in your mind, “Broken Heartless Liar” will connect with anyone who has ever had to fight their way out of a bad relationship and come out stronger on the other side.

Joining Chantel McGregor on the album are regular band-mates Colin Sutton (bass) and Thom Gardner (drums). Oli Brown co-produces with fellow The Dead Collective member Wayne Proctor handling mixing and mastering.

In another huge break with tradition, both Oli and Wayne were involved heavily in the songwriting process.

The album is available in multiple formats, including CD, Black Vinyl, and a Limited-Edition Splatter Vinyl, with only300 copies produced, featuring a gatefold sleeve and full lyrics.
