About the Author
Richard Booth has been involved in the music industry since leaving school in 1988. He produced fanzines for a number of bands and in recent years has run websites and undertaken tour photography for bands. He’s had his live photos published in music books and magazines throughout the world. His love of Blues music led him to a lifelong fascination and appreciation of B.B. King. Because of this devotion, he began producing and running the UK BB King fan club, interacting with fans worldwide and with Mr King himself. This led to the 1999 launch of the UK fan site: bluesboyking.com, which has been in production ever since. Richard has enjoyed the good fortune and privilege to cover B.B.’s tours across the United Kingdom and Europe, reviewing shows and capturing B.B. in live photos at many shows. The last UK show at the Royal Albert Hall was captured by Richard on film and one of Richard’s photos from the that show has pride of place on the wall inside the prestigious venue at the famous stage door. Over the years B.B. and Richard became good friends and this book is a lasting tribute to the King of the Blues and to give thanks for all the many treasured years of music, shows and friendship.
