Ten Years Are Gone is a double album by John Mayall, recorded at Sunset Sound, Los Angeles and released in 1973. Like it’s predecessors Jazz Blues Fusion and Moving On, it featured Freddy Robinson on Guitar and Blue Mitchell on Trumpet. For the first time on CD this sought after John Mayall album is avaialble, endorsed a by John himself, he has contributed a new interview for the notes.

Moving On is a live album by John Mayall, recorded at the Whiskey A Go Go, Los Angeles on the 10th of July 1972 with the aid of Wally Heider’s Mobile Recording Truck. For the first time on CD this sought after John Mayall album is available, endorsed a by John himself and he has contributed a new interview for the notes describing the making of this seminal work.

The Latest Edition title makes a virtue of necessity, as John Mayall introduces another all-new line-up Two guitarists, High Tide Harris and Randy Resnick, lead the band in more of an uptempo R&B style than has been used in much of Mayall’s music during the past several years, starting with the timely Gasoline Blues (1974 was the year of the gas lines, remember?) and going on to Troubled Times (which advises impeaching President Nixon).
